In October, we were thrilled to be a part of the Vogue Festival in Rundle Mall that was a collaborative effort with Vogue Australia, The Pop-Up Co and Rundle Mall as part of the 2017 Adelaide Fashion Festival.
The mall was transformed into a fashionista’s paradise!
An early 5am start on the Friday saw our entire team pack up our city studio and put on the pink hi-vis to create installations around the mall that included over:
- 1000 roses
- 60 stems of phalaenopsis orchids
- countless ranunculi, anthuriums, foliage and branches
Our floral clouds could be seen on the main stage on Gawler Place that hosted model Jennifer Hawkins and Vogue’s Editor-In-Chief, Edwina McCann.
We also created a beautiful arrangement for The Daily Edited’s cube and petanque pitch that had an incredibly chic French vibe.
If you asked any one of us at Austin Bloom what our favourite installation was, we would all say the encased blooms at the Pulteney Street end of the mall, right in front of BNKR. A work of art that gave Kim Kardashian’s selfie room ceiling a run for it’s money!
Seriously so proud of our team who hustled and did not complain once about the early morning start or the rain that showered us right at the end of install. #floristlife
We can’t thank enough the helpful, organised and supportive teams of Vogue Australia, The Pop-Up Co, Rundle Mall council and the Adelaide Fashion Festival for allowing us to do what we genuinely love - creating provoking, forward florals for any and every occasion!
See you next year for #AFF18...
